If you want to reside or want to open a company in the Principality of Andorra, you should know the different types of residence available depending on each need. There are two types of residences: active residence and passive residence.

Active Residence in Andorra.

Active work residence is attributed to people who work in Andorra for an Andorran company, as self-employed or businessmen, and must reside in Andorra for at least 183 days a year.

If it is a company from Andorra that hires you, it is generally the same one that processes all the documentation. What you will need is:

  • Rental contract or deed that certifies the purchase of a property in Andorra.
  • Criminal record certificate from the country of origin or place of last residence with the Hague Apostille or legalized, and where appropriate translated into Catalan.

Passive Residence in Andorra.

Non-profit residency in Andorra.
